The PAL Program for adults ages 50+ is designed for fitness and fun while learning boxing basics. Boxing is regarded as one of the best workouts for anyone of any age due to its development of the "weak" side of one's body.

Instructor: Coach Ed Leahy

Ed is the head coach of the Dover Boxing Club .  He is a former professional boxer and professional judge and is well known in the boxing world and is a certified Level 3 coach for USA Boxing.  He also was a former member of the IBF, WBC, NABF and IPRO. While serving in the Marine Corp, he won the light weight championship while on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed in Bermuda.

Coach Ed has a remarkable record working with young boxers. Ed has coached in the Gold Gloves, Diamond Gloves, New Jersey State championships, Northeast Regional championships, Nationals and has coached at the International level as well as being named the head coach for the Northeast Regional team in 2002 that competed in Lake Placid New York. In addition, ED is licensed by the New Jersey State Athletic Commission as a professional boxing manager and second.
