Summer Softball

softball skills developmental clinic

Players will learn the technical skills of fielding, hitting, catching, and base-running in fun-filled daily sessions on the field.  No experience required, but basic knowledge and previous playing experience is recommended.  Players will be split into different groups and stations, learning and practicing different softball skill-sets.  Players should bring/wear their cleats, their glove, and plenty of water.  A batting helmet and bat is encouraged and recommended.  Players will be outside for the entirety of the clinic - please remember sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and anything else to shade the heat/sun.

The clinic will be led by Coach Caitlin O’Connor and her Assistant Coaches.  Caitlin, as a junior, in 2009 at Morris Knolls High School, posted a 25-3 record and struck out 339 in 194-plus innings to spur the Golden Eagles to their first state championship in 30 years. Her bat boomed as evidenced by her 50 hits, .476 batting average and 22 RBIs. As a senior, she led Morris Knolls to the No. 1 ranking in the state of NJ. She went on to play collegiately at Division II powerhouse Bloomsburg University.
